How to Clean Between the Glass on a Jenn-Air Oven Door
Cleaning an oven door can be challenging, but using a few tips and tricks will make it a little less painful. It is recommended that you set aside at least an hour for this project.
Open the oven door all the way. Insert the pencils or pens in the holes in the two hinges. This will keep the hinges in the "open" position and will make removing and reattaching the oven door a breeze.
Lay the towel under the oven door. Remove the oven door by giving it a slight tug, removing it from the hinges. You may need to ask someone to help you if the door is too heavy to remove by yourself. Lay the door on top of the towel.
Locate the screws or hinges on the oven door. Remove the screws that you find, and the door should easily separate from the other half. You will now be able to access the glass.
Clean the glass using special oven glass cleaner, general glass cleaners such as Windex, or a razor blade. A razor blade will remove the dirt and grease quickly and efficiently.
Reassemble the door in the reverse order. Lift the oven door up and align it with the hinges, set it in, then remove the pencils/pens.
